Low Surface Energy Labels

Objects with low surface energy (LSE) are notoriously difficult for standard adhesives. Materials such as powder-coated metals, textured plastics, polyethylene (PE), and polypropylene (PP) often prevent adhesives from fully bonding, causing labels to peel, lift, or fall off over time. Prynt Group provides solutions!

CASE STUDY:

GOODWAY Technologiesrequired high-tack labels for their descaling tanks used in industrial applications where they get dirty and wet. Their tanks are made of a very low surface energy material notoriously difficult for label adhesion. Learn how the specialists at Prynt Group were able to deliver quick results within GOODWAY's budget.

Goodway Label

The Challenge

GOODWAY's descaling tanks are made from High-Density Polyethylene (HDPE )–a very low surface engery material notoriously difficult for label adhesion. They needed a label that would stick in wet and dirty industrial environments.

The Solution

Prynt Group recommended CYMK printing on our 1251 Chrome Silver Polyester substrate with an aggressive adhesive, topped with a polyurethane dome. The result is a DomeLabel that looks great and stays stuck!
